families and beginners
We can accomadate families and beginners and even arrange cycle hire. We will utilise the network of disused railways that zigzag across the moor to get you out into the wild.
Families and Beginners

the gorge
Ride along the rivers edge and then climb steadily until The Hunters Path teeters on the edge of a 300 foot drop. Hold on tight as it plummets back down to the river where a welcome stop at a Dartmoor inn will prepare you to conquer the south side of the Gorge. Your efforts will be rewarded with a "fast as you dare" final descent.
The Gorge

the hound
From the shadow of atmospheric Hound Tor, take the boulder strewn descent past the remarkable Grimspound ruins. "Box of knives" will offer a test of nerves and tyres then Postbridge gives a chance to refuel before the ascent of Hameldown. It's 500 metres to the top of the ridge but what goes up............
The Hound

the stepping stones
Cross the East and West Dart rivers on a series of stepping stone bridges. Anyone with the trial skills to attempt to ride across, gets a free Bike-Dartmoor towel to dry off with. A truly beautiful ride and perhaps our most technically challenging.
Stepping Stone

the heart of nowhere
A steady climb to eerie tin mine ruins is the pre-cursor to the trail that lays to rest the myth that "there are no rocks down south", a rock garden descent, over a mile long, Take the old railway to Princetown before the searing final descent. A route that gives a real flavour of the open moor.
